What sets our costumes apart from the rest?

Costume Design
Integrated helmet design has a chinstrap for security and comfort. The paws extend to the elbows for a better fit. Elastic has been placed in the wrist and sleeves for security. Hearing is improved; sound enters through mouth, nose and eyes. Molded plastic head allows for uniform shape and added strength. The trousers have been redesigned with a security pocket for wallet or keys and a Velcro fly for convenience. The one size fits all trousers have an adjustable hem and elastic waistband.

Better Cooling
Improved thermal design allows airflow to follow a natural path up and out to aid in cooling. Air is pulled gently around the face, not blown directly into eyes and nose. Cooling fan is cushioned in sound deadening foam for quieter operation. The high efficiency fan draws less battery power due to more effective airflow.

Better Vision
The new costume allows the wearer to see better out of the eyes, nose and the mouth. Allowing you to see small children approaching. The eyes are made with high quality plexi-glass allowing you to see clearly through the costume's eyes while also making it more lifelike for your audience. The mouth is also screened so that the wearer can not be seen from the outside and is protected from children's hands.

Manual Operation (Animated Costumes)
The animated features can be controlled manually through a keypad strapped to the wearer's wrist or held in the hand. With the keypad, the wearer can turn the mp3 player on and off, adjust the volume, open and close the mouth and activate the eyelids. This is especially useful in an auditorium setting where McGruff's message is being played over a load speaker system.

MP3 Activation
An MP3 player is integrated into the costume with a coded audio MP3 file, making it possible to presents various safety topics through dialogue and songs. His mouth moves with his voice and his eyelids wink and blink at programmed intervals to bring even more animation to your costume.

Voice Activation through animated costume
The new animated costume allows the wearer to converse with his audience, through the use of an amplifier and speakers built into a vest worn under the costume. It allows for adjustments in volume and microphone sensitivity. The mouth is programmed to open and close in synchronization with the wearer's voice.
